Awesome Weekend is Awesome
So the start of my Feb was ozzum! Mom came over and brought me my favorite adobo.. but later got stolen because the thief thought Krispy Kreme ung laman ng paper bag. #muntanga hahaha. Anyway… so I spent 3 days with Mama. Didnt spend a single centavo and was always full!<3 hahaha
Feb 4 (Saturday)
So Mom arrived on Saturday morning. She came to UP and waited for me while I got dressed. We were headed towards Mandaluyong to meet a friend of hers, Tita Katherine, owner of Journeys & More. Before that, we had breakfast at Rodic’s, then went to MRT station. We finally arrived at Mandaluyong and went to Pioneer Woodlands, where Tita’s office was located. They had chitchatted for hours, while I was just there listening.. We had lunch there na din. Afterwards, we went to Makati to meet another friend of my mom, my Ninang Olive. We met at Tsoko-nut, SM Makati. It was my first time there. I loved the food, especially the malunggay pasta. I’m not a big fan of pasta but surprisingly, I loved it. Then we had bibingka, leche flan cake and of course tsokolate.<3
After our short encounter with Ninang Olive, we headed back to Quezon ave, then to UP to get our stuff then proceeded to Park Villa, where my mom and I stayed for the weekend. Nakakainis lang coz walang signal, di ko tuloy matext si Kirk pag nasa room ako. :( I had an exam for Monday, and was required to answer a 90-item probset, so I wasn’t really free. :( We had pizza and chicken for dinner. Busog na naman! Mom’s friends, Tita Ouida and Tito Joel came over, while I was at the lobby answering my probset. They went out to some comedy bar and got a chance to go to the PBB house while I just stayed at the room, answering my probset with the TV on. #inggitme
February 5 (Sunday)
I woke up tired but I still needed to answer the darn probset so gora lang. We decided to leave QC at around 3 pm headed towards Manila Ocean Park. We rode an MRT to Taft, then an LRT to UN Ave., and walked across Luneta Park until finally, nakarating din kami sa Ocean Park.
Our first stop was this penguin show which totally disappointed me. Haha. Pambata pala. Pinagtripan pa kami ng penguin, saying his cheesy lines and stuff. We then proceeded to the Oceanarium where we saw all sorts of fishes, it was awesome pero di ako masyadong na-amaze. hahaha. We had dinner at Gerry’s grill and my mom was in a rush cause she didnt want to miss the musical fountain show at 7 PM. So after the quick dinner, we proceeded to watching the musical fountain show, which was very nice, pero mas maappreciate ko siguro yun kung bata ako. haha. So, we rode a taxi to the LRT but then decided to ride a bus home. We stopped by Mercury Drug to buy some food and coffee for my all nighter then proceeded to Park Villa. Finally, I finished my probset and slept with a full stomach because of McDelivery. :P Baboy kung baboy. :))
February 6 (Monday)
Exam day! I felt so nervous since I wasn’t able to study well, but then I’m happy cause mataas naman pala ang score na nakuha ko. :)) Mom and I had breakfast at Park Villa. Then, I went to UP na to meet up with my blockmates to study. We stayed at Chockiss. I had salisbury steak and devil’s food cake, my fave combo. Haha. And shet, nakalimutan ko calculator ko. Hahaha. Buti nalang dinaanan namin on the way to Physics. (Thank you to Joyce’s car)
Before the exam, Jett asked me if may earthquake ba daw sa Manila, I said no, and asked why, sabi niya nagearthquake daw sa Cebu. Aba syempre super worried ako. Tinext ko agad lahat ng relatives ko. All their replies were ‘Ang lakas nung lindol.’ I immediately asked my aunty about how my lola was doing. Thankfully, she said okay naman.
After the exam, I hurried to the dorm to change outfit kasi may photoshoot pala kami for Inte, and I was meeting my mom at Sikatuna Village, to check out his friend, Chef Tatung’s restaurant. Ayuuun, so finally, dumating din ako sa amphitheater na medyo haggard ang mukha. So nagphotoshoot at umalis na agad ako. I rode a taxi to Chef Tatung’s place, and met my mom there. Infernez, ang ganda ng place, and ang sarap ng food! Sobrang bet ko yung Tuba Shake, it’s non alcoholic but super yummy! And also the Tsoko-nut cake, it was soooo heavenly! Syempre nagustuhan ko din yung appetizer namin, Shrimp Okoy, and our main dish, the Adobong Bisaya which is really my favorite, and Tatung’s fried rice, which has a very Cebuano feel to it. Grabe, sobrang nagugutom ako pag naiimagine ko yung food. Haha. The price is totally worth it and the place is great, very quiet and peaceful.
So ayun, hinatid ko na mom ko sa MRT, since she was headed towards Makati to meet Tito Joel para ihatid siya sa airport. After nun, I went to Mile-Hi Katipunan where I met my HS classmates to celebrate Maikko’s birthday. Weeeeee.
What an awesome weekend.<3
Hungry T.T
HAHAHA So I managed to correct my mistake. I’m now patiently waiting for my chicken and mcflurry overload. Hungry like hell.
So I order at McDo, and this is what I see.
Good Morning! :)
It’s 1:13 PM and I’m still sleepy. I hate mondays. :|
I miss singing..
Wala lang, I don’t know where to sing. Nahihiya ako sa room namin. :)) Tsaka nakakahiya din sa CR. huhu. I wanna sing.
Right now, I feel bad and sad. I wasn’t able to say goodbye to one of the people closest to my heart, my dearest Aunty Bebot. She was one of the kindest people I’ve ever known. I’ve always looked up to her as she was an independent woman, who raised her children by herself, and even though she was faced with a lot of challenges in life, she never gave up, and was always very optimistic. She was always very encouraging, and very religious, she always told me to put God above the rest and to always pray. It hurts to remember all the memories that we shared, especially when she tells me not to get scared of Skippy. She was only 52 years old, and I did not expect her to be gone so early. But, I know, God always has a reason for everything. Rest in peace Aunty Bebot. We love you and will miss you. Thank you for everything.

slightlyaddicting:
- 1 box white cake mix made according to package instructions
- Neon food coloring in pink, yellow, green, turquoise, and purple
- 3 one-pint canning jars
- 1 can vanilla frosting
- Rainbow sprinkles
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Thoroughly wash and dry the inside of each canning jar. Spray the inside of each jar thoroughly with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.
Scoop about 1/2 cups of cake batter into five small bowls. It doesn’t have to be perfect, don’t panic if you get a little more of less of one color than another. Tint each bowl of cake batter with the food coloring until very vibrant.
Spoon about 3 tablespoons of the purple batter into the bottom of each jar. Spoon equal amounts of turquoise batter, then green, yellow, and pink. Place the jars in a shallow baking dish, add about 1/4″ in water in the baking dish. Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 30-35 minutes.
Remove jars and allow to cool completely before scooping a small portion from the top of your cake and adding a hefty dollop of vanilla buttercream to the top. Sprinkle & serve, or cover with a lid and store in the fridge or pop into the mail & surprise someone you love!
